What is a food intolerance or sensitivity?

A food intolerance can occur when your body has difficulty digesting certain foods, over time large food particles (proteins) may enter the blood stream. When food particles enter the bloodstream the immune system can sometimes identify these food protein particles as ‘foreign’ and produce antibodies to ‘attack’ the food in question. This response is your immune systems natural defence mechanism to ward off harmful invaders in the body, which can cause inflammation. Inflammation is the start of many diseases and may result in your body not being able to absorb vitamins and minerals.

In testing the foods which you may have an intolerance or sensitivity to, we can support and guide you to eliminate them and get back to a healthier you.

What does it involve?

We perform a non-invasive way to test for food sensitivity, our philosophy is to encourage people to take responsibility for their health using dietary means and education. One of the ways we achieve this by providing a food intolerance and sensitivity testing service using the very latest technology. We test over 100 foods plus vitamin and mineral deficiencies.

The equipment we use is an Electro dermal screening machine, developed in Germany and used for years by doctors and natural healthcare practitioners. The machine is capable of measuring changes in the body’s resistance which will help pinpoint potentially harmful foods. This form of testing is complimentary and is known as BER (Bioenergetics Resonance Medicine).

The machine measures changes in body resistance. All that is required is for a small sensor to touch the end of your finger. The experience is similar to touching your finger with a ball point pen. The machine is used to pinpoint the foods that may be causing you problems. The procedure is quick, non-invasive, painless and provides instant results.

How long will the test take?

The test will take approximately 45 minutes.

What should I expect after the test?

Following the test, we will advise you on how to eliminate harmful foods from your diet and will provide you with information on safe nutritional alternatives whilst following an elimination programme. You will be given the support, guidance and information you require to help you on the road to good health.

We must point out that this test is an alternative, complimentary approach and is not a medical diagnosis. It is used to pinpoint potential foods that may be causing you unwanted symptoms.
